Are you committed to developing strong leaders for PreK - 12 schools and districts? The School of Education and Human Development (SEHD) at the University of Southern Maine is seeking a tenure track Assistant Professor for the graduate program in Educational Leadership.
Our Education Leadership program offers two Master of Science in Education degrees, a Certificate of Advanced Study, an Assistant Principal Certificate of Graduate Study, and supports the PhD in Public Policy with an Educational Leadership and Policy Concentration. Our department has been preparing Maine’s school leaders for over 55 years and is looking for a talented individual to join our team of committed faculty and scholars. The Educational Leadership Department focuses on practitioner-oriented degrees and maintains strong school-university partnerships through our Southern Maine Partnership. Successful candidates for this faculty position will be expected to have in-depth experience as a pK-12 school or district administrator. In addition, the position will require the ability to (1) develop and teach asynchronous and synchronous online courses, as well as teach blended, in-person, and off-campus low-residency programs, (2) willingness to teach a range of educational leadership courses, (3) engage in academic and career advising, (4) produce scholarly works and publications on educational leadership topics, and (5) provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.

The starting date for this position will begin in Fall 2024 on our Portland Campus and will pay annual salary of $65,000. This is an on campus, in-person teaching position.
