The University of Southern Maine Athletic Department is seeking applicants for temporary positions as Summer Camp Coaches.
We are seeking energetic camp staff to provide a safe and memorable experience for our campers. The staff will be responsible for coaching/teaching the campers in the chosen sport. The ideal candidate will be an excellent multitasker with a genuine passion for working with, and empowering, young campers. Applicants should be patient, fun-loving and confident in their ability to motivate and assist campers.
Camp responsibilities and duties:
Camps:
Must know the rules and fundamental techniques of playing and teaching the sport. Current and former high school/college athletes and current and former coaches preferred.
Salary:
Minimum of $14/hour, could increase based on experience.
Employees in the University of Maine System are required to comply with UMS COVID protocols which currently include, but are limited to, being vaccinated, obtaining a qualified vaccination exemption, and/or participating in regular COVID testing.
