The Office of Equity, Inclusion and Community Impact (EICI) assists the University of Southern Maine (USM) in the development of an integrated and sustainable strategy for creating an inclusive and equitable learning and working environment. In addition, the Office provides leadership for the University's initiatives to enhance the cultural competence and humility of faculty, staff, and students.
The Project Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of administrative, logistical and project support for the Vice President of Equity, Inclusion, and Community Impact. This includes proven ability to work with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs, coordination and oversight of complex meetings and associated tasks/projects, appreciation for excellent customer service, and more. The Project Assistant is a self-directed team player who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to different situations. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential as this position serves as the point of contact for many constituencies.
This is a full-time position with an hourly rate up to $18.56 and is located on our Portland Campus.
