The University of Southern Maine is looking for motivated individuals to join our Custodial team! We are currently accepting internal applications for a 2nd shift Custodial Facilities Maintenance Worker CL2 in our Facilities Management department on the USM Gorham campus!
In addition to a 40 hour work week, all full-time employees are eligible for free tuition for credit courses including graduate school and Maine Law and eligible dependents receive 50% partial tuition waivers.

Employees in this classification are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, appearance and sanitation of University campus facilities in accordance with CDC and internal guidelines. This may include University grounds, roads, walks and buildings. This position requires self-direction and autonomy, and may be asked to lead, coordinate and/or delegate work assignments and projects. This is an essential position with the expectation that you report to work on snow/storm days and other days when campus is closed.

The work schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 5:00pm - 1:00am.
Pay is $13.26/hr plus a $0.40/hr shift differential and offers a highly competitive benefits package that includes vacation, sick and holiday pay, health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, short and long term disability insurance, a tuition waiver program for employees and their spouse or dependent child(ren), a 403(b) retirement plan and more. This position is currently eligible for $18.23/hr Portland Emergency wages while we await a final Court action on the Act to Increase the Minimum Wage in Portland or the Governor lifts the State of Civil Emergency.
